We are exited to offer this rare clock that survived in such good condition. WK Cowan was a premier furniture maker in Chicago c1905. When Cowan made this clock he fitted the JJ Elliott movement, undoubtedly the best movement of that era. That combination of a fine case and JJ Elliott movement makes this a rare and exiting find.
The clock is a brass dial eight day clock with moon roller. It strikes Westminster tune on the quarter and the hour on five tubular bells.
The case is mahogany with exquisite carvings. I have providence on this clock and it has been in the Bissell (Bissell Carpet Sweeper Company) family for the past 100 years.
