This clock has a four pillar eight-day time and strike movement with anchor escapement that strikes the hour on an English bell.
The painted dial is an excellent example of a Walker and Finnemore dial c1805. Finnemore was famous for his use of full pink roses. The painting in the moon dial is of the highest quality. Both the seconds and date are indicated on the dial. The clock hands are made from blue steel. The case is a well proportioned English oak case with swan neck pediments and brass accents.
Hexham is a small town in the North of England located twenty-five miles west of Newcastle Upon Thyme.
