This clock has an eight-day time and rack strike movement. The porcelain dial has Arabic numerals, with no cracks or chips. The hands are original and in good condition. The clock strikes the half and hour on a pleasant gong.
The two vial pendulum’s are original and in good condition. The case is solid brass with nice Corinthian columns’ at each corner, separating the beveled glass.
In 1839 L’Epee factory began producing movements, escapements and eventually clocks. They also produced some of the world’s finest musical boxes. The L’Epee factory also received prestigious gold awards at various international exhibitions.
