This is a beautiful late 19th century signed Huguenin A Paris skeleton clock set on a stepped cylindrical marble base. The marble base is supporting a flat brass pillar with knife edge suspension for a gridiron of nine brass rods. The circular movement has three turned pillars, pin wheel escapement with inverted crutch, and a beat adjustment on the pillar. The dial has roman chapters and blued trefoil hands.
The Huguenin’s were a prominent Swiss family of watch and clockmakers based primarily in Le Locle, Switzerland.
