This French regulator table clock was made by Japy Freres and was retailed by John Wanamaker from Philadelphia. The clock has an eight-day time and strike spring driven movement. The porcelain dial displays the retailers name and has Arabic numerals with the original clock hands. Additionally, the dial has a gilded engine turned bezel.
The two vial pendulum’s are original and in good condition. The case is brass with an onyx base and top, which has a beautiful brass beaded accent. The base has bun feet and the glass sides are curved around the clock.
The movement is stamped Made in France and bears the names Japy Freres and John Wanamaker.
